    • Fue Director Ejecutivo del Consejo Nacional del SIDA de México (CONASIDA, la agencia federal del gobierno mexicano responsable de la política del SIDA a nivel nacional), de enero de 1992 a Agosto de 1996.
    • También fue miembro de la Junta Coordinadora de Programas de ONUSIDA (1995-1997).
