Research interests:

  • Overview and Trends of the HIV Epidemic in Mexico and Latin America: Characterization of the HIV epidemic in Mexico and Latin America, aimed at improving care through the analysis of clinical outcomes such as mortality and retention.
  • Vulnerable Groups and HIV: Analysis of social and mental outcomes and characteristics of particularly vulnerable groups such as women, heterosexual men, transgender people, and the aging population with HIV.
  • Methodology and Mathematical Modeling: Development and implementation of analytical techniques and mathematical, statistical, and epidemiological models to evaluate outcomes specific to HIV care.

Featured projects:

  • Responsible for coordinating the statistical and epidemiological analysis of research studies at the INCMNSZ VIHVA clinic for the past 15 years.
